We have collaborated with the NAACP, The National Museum of Mathematics, Liberty Science Center, and other public libraries, schools, and organizations to make an impact. Grants and support from Rutgers Makerspace, America's Promise Alliance, and Middlesex Library have helped us reach our goals. |

I run workshops at libraries, schools, museums, and STEM events. Before the pandemic, I was running live, in-person workshops locally. Since 2020, I have been doing virtual programs via Zoom. I believe that working online has actually been a positive to my mission. I can reach further communities all over the country and inspire more kids. |

Rutgers Makerspace
We reached out to Rutgers Makerspace to request them to let our students get their designs 3D printed there. They offered a generous grant for Mission: DICE's students to get their prints done there for free! We would like to thank Mr. Lee Pagenkopf, the Founding Manager of the Rutgers Makerspace, for printing our students' models for them. |

America's Promise Alliance
2020: Mission: DICE entered into the America's Promise Alliance Power of Youth Challenge and we are proud to say that we won the challenge and are recipients of their grant. We are using this grant to help fund the purchase of filament for local organizations. This way, the money is fed back into our community. 2021: We are excited to announce that Mission: DICE has won this grant again! This grant will help us deliver 3D prints to students in our community. 2022: Mission: DICE has won the America's Promise Alliance Power of Youth Challenge grant for the third year in a row! We are very grateful to them for their support in helping us bring 3D modeling and STEM to kids around the country. |

Middlesex Public Library
Mission: DICE ran an Intro to Tinkercad workshop with Middlesex Library. They loved the workshop, so they asked us to come back and run three more workshops, and create a video for the adults who wanted to learn Tinkercad. They also offered a generous monetary contribution towards Mission: DICE. We would like to thank The Maker's Nest at the Middlesex Library and Ms. Mo for making this possible. |

Webinar
Webots/Blockly Rescue Line Simulation

We ran an amazing webinar about Webots and Google Blockly! We talked about the value of simulation robotics and its applications. We used the free Webots simulation software and Google's Blockly coding interface to control simulated robots and learn the Requirements and Preparation in order to participate in the 2023 Rescue Line Simulation Competition.
I'm one of the instructors of the RCJ Rescue Line Simulation at Storming Robots and I'm also a member of their development team for the Rescue Simulation Platform. TDI Connect

TDI Connect is a volunteer organization that refurbishes computers and laptops and distributes them to individuals and groups who need them. Recently, we got introduced because they needed help with designing a custom drive case. In this video, I go over the design process of helping TDI Connect with their generous mission. East Brunswick Police Department

During the COVID pandemic, police officers have been wearing masks for long hours. Because of this, their ears get sore. So Mission: DICE decided to put our new 3D printer to good use, and made 50 Ear-Savers for the East Brunswick Police Department. The East Brunswick Police Department reaches out to the community through their Community Policing Unit and this was a great way for us to thank them. Thank you to Patrol Officers Diamond and Wright for your help in coordinating this effort. |

Make:able Challenge

From November 2021 to March 2022, Mission:DICE worked with the Piscataway Library to mentor a team for the Make:able Challenge, hosted by Autodesk and PrintLab. DICE was the Lead Facilitator for the team, and taught the students CAD concepts, as well as the Engineering Design Process, to aid them in creating their designs. The goal of the project was to create products that would help people with physical disabilities, and the elderly. Our students worked on creating products to help people with mobility disabilities, hand control disabilities, and others. The team will be working on improving their prototypes over the coming months. |
Fizzee Labs

Fizzee Labs is an organization developing an electronic kit for students for NASA's GLOBE initiative. NASA's goal is to let students around the world contribute to their massive database with annual weather and climate information. Fizzee Labs created a kit that students can assemble, that will measure atmospheric information using a sensor, and upload to NASA's database. In 2022, Mission: DICE worked with Fizzee Labs to help develop a customized housing for their kit. We created an aesthetically pleasing housing that would hold the kit and power bank, and would be able to be illuminated with LEDs on the kit. This was achieved using a rocket shaped design that had slots to fit the kit, the power bank inside, and holes to thread cables through to power the kit from the inside of the rocket. |
